Preparation and Usage
Use any type of oil
Cool your loaf completely before slicing
Gluten free bread is best eaten fresh
Freeze bread and rolls whole or sliced
Toast your slices straight from frozen
Recipes
500g White bread mix
430ml Tepid water
3 tbsp Oil
1kg/2lb Loaf tin
Cling film
1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/425°F/gas 7.
2. Put the bread mix, tepid water and 2 spoons of the oil into a large bowl and mix to a thick batter.
3. Add the last spoon of oil, turn over the doughy mass and tip into an oiled 1kg/2lb loaf tin.
4. Smooth the top and cover loosely with oiled cling film.
5. Leave in a warm place until the dough has risen to the top of the tin (45-90minutes).
6. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 45-50 minutes.
7. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
Machine Baked Loaf
500g White bread mix
430ml Tepid water
3 tbsp Oil
1. Put tepid and oil into the machine pan, followed by the Bread Mix.
2. Select the gluten (or rapid/quick) programme and dark crust option, if available.
3. When baked, carefully remove the loaf from the pan and cool on a wire rack.
8 Bread Rolls
500g White bread mix
430ml Tepid water
3 tbsp Oil
Yorkshire pudding tray
Cling film
Follow steps 1 to 3 of Hand Made Loaf recipe but instead of tipping the dough into a tin, divide it between 8 oiled Yorkshire pudding tray cavities. Smooth the tops, cover loosely with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place for 45 minutes. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 30-35 minutes.
