Tim Tams are chocolate biscuits made by Arnott's. An Arnott's Tim Tam has two layers of chocolate malted biscuit, separated by a light chocolate cream filling, then covered milk chocolate.
The Tim Tam Slam or Tim Tam Bomb is performed by biting off the opposing corners of a Tim Tam, you then, quickly, use the 'modified' Tim Tam as a straw to suck your tea or coffe or milo through it. Make sure you get it into your mouth quick smart and wait for it to explode!!!

Arnott's Tim Tam biscuits first hit supermarket shelves in 1964. They were named after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1958. A member of the Arnott family, Ross Arnott, attended the race day and decided ‘Tim Tam’ was the perfect name for his new biscuit. The chocolate used to make Tim Tam biscuits has been specially developed by Arnott’s to give a slightly caramel taste. The cream flavour is a delicate mixture of vanilla, butter and chocolate that complements the biscuit base and the chocolate. It’s this unique cream which sets Tim Tam apart from any other chocolate biscuit.

Our Heritage
In 1865, a small bakery opened in Hunter Street, Newcastle, north of Sydney, New South Wales. It supplied bread, pies and biscuits to the local townspeople as well as to the crews of the many ships that docked at the port to load coal. From these humble beginnings rose a company whose name is now synonymous with Australia's favourite biscuits and snacks.
Today, Arnott's employs thousands of people and supplies biscuits to more than 40 countries around the world. Millions of Australians have grown up on Arnott's and for them, Arnott's is more than a food company, it's a piece of Australia's history.
