Opis

Germoloids Cream provides local anaesthetic, fast pain relief, soothes itching and shrinks piles.

Germoloids Cream can be used to relieve the symptoms of pain, swelling and irritation associated with piles (haemorrhoids) and anal itching (pruritus ani).

Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide Ph Eur 6.6% and Lidocaine Hydrochloride Ph Eur 0.7%

 

How to Use

 

How to use Germoloids Cream:


Before initial use check the tube seal is intact, then remove by peeling from the tag.


This product is for administration in and around the rectum only.


Haemorrhoids may either be external (around the outside of the back passage) or internal (inside the back passage).

For external haemorrhoids and itching in the area around the back passage, apply the cream directly.

 

For internal haemorrhoids, screw the applicator nozzle onto the tube and gently insert the applicator into the opening of the back passage. Gently squeeze the tube whilst slowly withdrawing the  nozzle so that the cream moves gently up the back passage. The insertion is eased by smearing some of the cream on the outside of the nozzle.


Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. Keep the tube of cream, including cap and nozzle, scrupulously clean.


Adults and children aged 12 years and over: apply to the affected area at least twice a day with a minimum of 3 to 4 hours between applications. Further applications can be made at any time of the day, and are particularly recommended after a bowel movement.


Do not use more than 4 times in any 24 hour period.                 

You may use Germoloids Cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding but as with all medicines at this time, you should discuss it with your doctor first.

 

Hazards and Cautions

 

Do not use Germoloids Cream if you are allergic to the actives or any of the other ingredients listed above. E218 may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).

Emulsifying wax, white soft paraffin, methyl salicylate, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), butyl hydroxybenzoate and water.
