Preparation and Usage
Makes 18 pancakes or 24 Yorkshire puddings
24 Yorkshire puddings:
4 medium eggs
320ml semi skimmed milk
120ml vegetable oil
2 x 12 hole Yorkshire pudding trays
18 pancakes:
4 medium eggs
320ml semi skimmed milk
120ml vegetable oil
Instructions
Electric 240°C, Fan 220°C, Gas 9, 30 mins
Preheat oven. Place 1 tsp of vegetable oil in each hole of a 12 or 24 hole baking tray, depending on the quantity you are making. Heat in the oven for 10 mins to heat the oil. Place the contents of the sachet into a mixing bowl. Add the eggs and milk and whisk until smooth. Pour the batter into a jug. Remove the tray from the oven and divide the batter between 12 or 24 holes as per the quantity you are making. Bake for 10 mins until risen. Reduce the temperature to:
Electric 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6
Cook for a further 10 mins until golden brown.; Shallow Fry - From Ambient. Fry 1-2 mins (each side)
Pancakes only
Place the contents of the sachet into a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs and milk, whisk until smooth. Pre-heat 1 tsp of oil in a non-stick frying pan until hot. Add a ladle of batter mix and swirl around the frying pan to create a pancake. Fry for approximately 1-2 mins on each side or until golden brown.
