Preparation and Usage
Recipes
1 pack Santa Maria Taco Shells
500g lean minced beef (or chicken)
1 tbsp butter or oil
1 sachet Santa Maria Taco Seasoning Mix
100ml water
How to prepare:
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and fry the minced meat until browned, Add the seasoning mix and 100ml water. Continue to cook for a further 5 minutes.
If using chicken halve both the quantity of water & cooking time.
Step 2: Preheat oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4.
Remove the shells from packaging and place on a baking tray standing on their open sides and heat for 2-3 minutes. Take the shells out of the oven carefully and divide the filling between the crispy taco shells.
Toppings: Shredded lettuce and grated cheddar cheese plus Santa Maria Salsa or Santa Maria Soured Cream Topping. You can also add other fresh vegetables such as tomatoes.
