Preparation and Usage
When creaming butter and icing sugar add a tablespoon of hot water to the mix - it gives you a fluffier mix faster.
Recipes
Buttercream
100g unsalted butter
200g icing sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
(We use Nielsen-Massey)
- Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth, then add the milk and vanilla extract.
Why not try salted chocolate buttercream? Remove the vanilla extract and add 100g of melted dark chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon of table salt.
For a citrus twist replace the milk and vanilla with a tablespoon of orange, lemon or lime juice.
